As a small, three-person team, we emphasize technology, design, research, and collaboration to make a significant and innovative impact on your business. At our inception, we were tasked with creating not only our branding but also establishing our voice, website, and strategic direction.
To distinguish ourselves in the crowded web design industry, it was crucial to develop a unique voice that resonated with personality and could connect meaningfully with clients. Before delving into design, we defined our position statement, identified key differentiators, and selected personality archetypes that best represented our ethos.
We aimed to project the image of a bold, creative, and somewhat unconventional studio—approachable yet edgy, blending a bit of anti-agency sentiment with our distinct personalities to spice things up.
Our branding focused on creating a distinctive lettermark that would be instantly recognizable and closely associated with our name. We chose to step away from the contemporary studio aesthetics, opting instead for a bold and timeless design. The result was a gothic-style "G" encased in an oval badge, reminiscent of a stamp found on ancient scrolls. This logo, paired with an easy-to-read, bold sans-serif typeface, ensured visibility and brand recall.
We crafted our voice to be knowledgeable and guiding, yet fearless and exciting. It was designed to be fun, creative, and authentic, mirroring how we communicate in meetings, with friends, and among ourselves.
As a new company aiming to showcase our capabilities, we developed a single-page website that enabled potential clients to quickly understand who we are. Lacking traditional case studies, we introduced a work reel to provide insights into ongoing projects and our new branding. This format allowed us to leverage well-crafted content and thoughtful design to demonstrate our skills and attract new clients.
