CyberNest is a community-powered peer review and information-sharing platform for IT and cybersecurity professionals. Providing them with a unified platform to explore, evaluate, and rate security industry reports. This centralized hub not only saves valuable research time but also safeguards privacy while ensuring the accuracy and quality of information to enhance decision-making.
Our goal was to create a platform that focused on information sharing and community interaction, while offering the user to save time in the research process, and validate the quality and accuracy of the information to improve decision-making. We turned our focuse into these areas.
1. Effortless Navigation:Discovering new threats and solutions should be easy. We focused our interface on well designed layouts that included user-friendly cards and a well-organized content system, enabling easy navigation and efficient content searchability.
2. Reduced Research Time:We streamlined the information discovery process. Our platform enables quick access to summaries of extensive reports, facilitating efficient and confident decision-making. By simplifying access to vital information, we significantly cut down on the time users spend researching.
3. Community Validation:Trust is paramount in cybersecurity. At CyberNest, we integrate community feedback to validate the credibility of each publication, users can rate and review publications. This not only enhances the platform's trustworthiness but also fosters a collaborative environment.
Our approach began with in-depth research into similar products. Our main focus was finding apps and products that utilized its community, easy to navigate library and that offered multiple ways to consume content. Patterns we found to be successful were a easy to navigate dashboard, content cards displaying useful information, and well detailed content pages.
Focusing on elements that contributed to their user-friendliness and navigational clarity, This research informed our strategy for user flows and wireframes, enabling us to construct an experience that significantly reduced the time required to consume information.
We engaged a board of advisors to test the platform pre-launch. Their insights helped us refine our onboarding process, enhance navigational elements, and improve the readability of our content cards.
We chose the Material UI Kit for its robustness and scalability, which supported the rapid development of a high-quality user interface. I tailored the design to enhance scanability and accessibility, using contrasting colors to guide users through the navigation and content more efficiently.
Since launching, CyberNest has grown to over 400 active members, with consistent increases in user registration and content engagement. Our community actively participates in the platform, frequently rating and sharing publications, which underscores the platform's value and relevance.
